I’m a wedding planner who’s been in the business for a few years. As such, I still run into a few snags now and then, as I’ve had relatively little experience. It’s really hard tiring to make sure a wedding and the subsequent reception run smoothly, and I sometimes overlook a few things.
One particularly challenging project I had was a reception I did in Burbank. Things were ready, for the most part. The venue was beautiful. The musicians were well-rehearsed, the food was perfect, and the emcee was warmed up. We were kind of occupied with the ice sculpture, though. It was huge – a bas-relief of a portrait of the newlyweds. We didn’t have a refrigeration unit big enough to hold it, so it started melting long before the reception dinner began. We couldn’t afford the manpower to make another one, although if we had, it would only take around two hours to carve.
I struck a deal with the artists I worked with: they had to work hard and fast to make a new one, and I’d add a tidy sum to their bill. I was soon talking to managers from car title loan companies in Orinda, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hills, and Clayton. A colleague recommended Concord Title Loans, and I went with the idea. The auto title loan application and approval were done in an minutes, and the money was ready right after that. We pulled it off – a better ice sculpture in record time. This was all done thanks to the car title loan in Concord. Oh and by the way, they also have title loan stores in Moraga, Rheem Valley, and Lafayette as well.
